Emmerich Andresen (1843 – 1902)

Sculptor trained in Hamburg under Ernst Gottfried Vivié and at the Dresden Art Academy under Ernst Hähnel. Became head of the design department of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory in 1886. His allegorical porcelain figures are characterized by a classic-academic style and have characteristics typical of large-scale sculpture.
