Angelo Asti (1847 – 1903) was a well-known Italian artist who specialized in portraits of beautiful young women. Some consider him the father of pin-up art, as his work appeared on the first risque calendars and postcards. His portraits were widely reproduced on Royal Vienna porcelain cabinet plates.
