Fedor Ruckert

Born in Germany in 1840, Feodor Rückert came to Russia at the age of 14 to work for Yusupov family.  For 40 years, from 1887, the year in which the Moscow branch of Faberge opened, until the Revolution in 1917, the year of his death, Rückert produced highly original cloisonné silver enamels of exceptional quality in evolving styles primarily for Faberge, but also for Ovchinnikov and Kurlyukov, while selling some of his work direct to the consumer.
