Born in Moscow in 1884. Graduated from the Stroganov Arts and Industry School there in 1907 and worked as a decorative painter in Moscow. Joined the State Porcelain Factory in 1918-1919 and then again in 1921-1924. While his early porcelain paintings such as views of St Petersburg are neoclassical, when Adamovich came back to the factory after fighting for Red Army in Russian Civil War, his late work became exclusively Soviet propaganda.
