Nathan Altman

A well known Russian Jewish avant-garde artist. Born in Ukraine in 1889. Studied in Odessa Art School and Paris Art Academy. A couple of Altman’s works (most noticeably his 1920 sketch of Vladimir Lenin) were adopted by State Porcelain Factory for paintings on Soviet propaganda plates and cups.
