Born in 1868. Joined Imperial Porcelain Factory in St Petersburg as a designer in 1905, and from 1906 to 1935 directed factory’s painting workshop. After the Russian revolution of 1917, Vilde created numerous drawings for Soviet propaganda porcelain, primarily plates. He was awarded a gold medal at the Paris World Exhibition of 1925.
