Born in 1870. An artist at State Porcelain Factory from 1918. Had trained in the workshop of Ilya Repin at the Saint Petersburg Academy of Arts and Elizaveta Kruglikova’s studio in Paris. Began his career as a graphic artist and his unusual style of painting was definitely influenced by the graphics. Timorev’s hand painted colorful works at first glance look like colored-in prints. His plates are signed on the front “Timorev” with a date, and marked on the back with a symbol of clubs suit.
