Zinaida Kobyletskaya

Born in 1880. Studied in St Petersburg as well as Denmark and France. Probably the most talented pupil of Sergei Chekhonin. Worked at Imperial and later State Porcelain Factory during 3 separate periods (1912-1914, 1918-1923, 1926-1932) producing up to 1500 designs. Besides creating and executing her own compositions, painted Chekhonin’s designs as well.
