Following the departure of Max Adolf Pfeiffer from the manufactory in 1933, production of the group was forbidden &#8220;for reasons of decency&#8221;, which led to a dispute with Scheurich that was only resolved by the appointment of Wolfgang M\u00fcller von Baczko as Director at the end of 1936. The group of the falling rider was no longer regarded as obscene, but rather &#8220;completely first-rate&#8221; [&#8220;ganz augezeichnet&#8221;]. It was produced in porcelain from the beginning of 1937 and was among the models by Scheurich awarded the Grand Prix at the Paris World Exhibition of 1937.
