The gardens and the estate is now known as the Parc de Saint-Cloud.<br \/>\nThe ch\u00e2teau was expanded by Philippe I, Duke of Orl\u00e9ans in the 17th century and by Marie Antoinette, Queen of France after King Louis XVI purchased the palace for her in 1785. In the 19th century it was used by Napoleon Bonaparte, by the royal family during the Bourbon Restoration, by Louis Philippe d\u2019Orl\u00e9ans, and by Napoleon III.
