Model number S125\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Model Number: S 125<br \/>\nModeled c.1899 by Albert Georg Eras after a drawing by Maurice Sand, 1860.<br \/>\nCommedia dell\u2019arte is a theatrical form characterized by improvised dialogue and a cast of colorful stock characters that emerged in northern Italy in the fifteenth century and rapidly gained popularity throughout Europe.<br \/>\nEach character of the commedia evolved a distinct set of attributes\u2014characteristic speech, gestures, props, and costume that became standard to the portrayal of the character. Most characters wore masks, a tradition deriving from ancient Roman comedies.<br \/>\nPulcinelo is always portrayed in loose white garments, with conical hat and a black mask with beaklike nose, and is often hunchbacked.
