This specific view was part of a larger collection of harbor prints published in Amsterdam between 1779 and 1786.The engraving captures the intricate maritime life of the era, featuring The Harbor Wall – prominent wooden pier (paalwerk) that protected the inner harbor. Also shown traditional Dutch sailing ships navigating the wavy waters of the Zuiderzee, and key architectural landmarks of Harlingen in the background.
