Erich Hösel  (1869 – 1957)

German sculptor, studied at the Dresden Academy.  1899 – 1903 a teacher at the Kassel Academy. 1903 – 1929 worked at the Meissen manufactory, from 1912 as a creative director. Hösel ranks among the most productive Meissen designers. He created numerous figures of children, animals, Indians and genre figures.
