An Art Nouveau German sculptor, designer and modeler. Studied at Académie Julian in Paris and the Royal Academy of Arts in Berlin under Louis Tuaillon. Between 1894 to 1904, designed various jewelry pieces at silverware factory Peter Bruckmann & Söhne in Heilbron.
In 1904 Amberg designed the porcelain table composition called “Wedding Procession” for the upcoming wedding of the Prussian Crown Prince. However, this elaborate porcelain set, monochrome white in the original version, composed of numerous figures, did not find any interest until it was manufactured from 1908 on by the Royal Porcelain Manufactory (KPM) in Berlin. It has been released several times mostly colored and gilt.
