This figural group was called “The Congress in Teschen”. The Treaty of Teschen was signed on May 13, 1779. It ended the War of the Bavarian Succession between Prussia and Austria. Held in Austrian Silesia (now Cieszyn, Poland), the congress was mediated by Russia and France, preventing a wider European conflict and strengthening Russia’s international influence.
