Moor with cockatoo – Model Number: G 294 (A 1068)
Oriental Woman with flute – Model Number: A 1146
Meissen purchased the moor model on March 20th, 1922 for RM 15,000, though it is likely that Paul Scheurich had completed it sometime earlier.
Because of Scheurich’s illness, the companion figure, ‘Orientalin mit Flöte’, was delayed until 1926. So the figure of the man with cockatoo was at first being sold by Meissen without its companion. By the end of 1931, 69 examples had been sold.
