Ovoid body decorated on the front with two nude figures of boys reclining on a double bracket between two monsters, terminating in symmetrical scrolled stems with foliage, amongst which are birds. The neck is gadrooned and has a lion’s mask on the front. The mouth has a foliated edge and projecting lip. The handle is in the form of a winged monster. The foot is scalloped and has a knob on the stem. The rim of the circular stand is decorated with three shields supported by pairs of demi-figures of cupids terminating in symmetrical leafy scrolls amongst which are birds; the edge is moulded with quatrefoils.
