After colored engraving by Charles Beggrow (Карл Беггров) “Сапоги Казанские” from “Cris de St. Petersbourg” published in 1834 – a set of 24 hand-colored lithograph cards, 5 x 3¾”, depicting the street vendors of St. Petersburg. Captioned below the images in both Russian and French.
Depicts a street vendor selling colorful goat leather boots and shoes. Goat leather is very gentle and soft, very thin and durable, has a unique wave pattern, enough waterproof, retains heat, elastic. Was used to manufacture high-quality elegant footwear.
