In Greek mythology, Megara was Hercules’s first wife. She was the daughter of King Creon of Thebes, and their marriage was a reward for Hercules’s victory against the Minyans. However, their happiness was tragically short-lived, as Hercules, driven mad by the goddess Hera, killed Megara and their children.
