The Picturesque and Romantic Journeys into Ancient France are a great editorial adventure initiated by Baron Taylor in 1820, helped by Charles Nodier and Alphonse de Cailleux as well as many collaborating writers, cartoonists, engravers and lithographers. The edition, which extends from 1820 to 1878, represents 24 volumes in folio and 3282 lithographs.
