Kengis forge is an important historical ironworks located on the Swedish side of the Torne River in a region sometimes referred to as West Bothnia (or Västerbotten), featuring rapids that drop 20 meters over 600 meters. It was operational until 1879.
It is now a well-known location for Baltic salmon fly and boat fishing.



After 1800 engraving by Martin Rudolf Heland (engraver 1765-1814) and Charles Delén (publisher) based on the drawing by Anders Fredrik Skjöldebrand (1757-1834).
