Porcelain painter: Boquet Pierre-Jean (1750-1817).
After the engraving by Constant Bourgeois from “Description des Nouveaux Jardins de la France et de ses Anciens Chateaux, Melée d’Observations sur la Vie de la Campagne et la Composition des Jardins” by Alexandre de Laborde, 226 pp. book, including a 56-page general introduction on landscape design, with descriptions in French, German, and English, notes, index, engraved half-title of a temple among trees, title with engraved vignette of the Porte de Coucy, and 92 engraved plates with 122 numbered views, together with three engraved maps, and eight additional small engraved images with movable elements that show the same place before and after its landscape transformation. Printed in Paris in 1808.
