Porcelain painter: Jacques Swebach.
This image is based on an 18th-century engraving titled “ROTTERDAM van de MAAS te zien / ROTTERDAM vue du coté de la MEUSE” created by printmaker Matthias de Sallieth (1749–1791), a prolific engraver active in Rotterdam and Amsterdam. Original Artist: Dirk de Jong (active c. 1779–1786), who provided the drawings for a series of Dutch harbor views.
This specific view was part of a larger collection of harbor prints published in Amsterdam between 1779 and 1786.
